Privacy policy

Effective from 28 September 2026. Data controller: Martin Tóth, sole trader (registered office: 9400 Sopron, Ady Endre út 147., Hungary, registration number: 62550617, tax number: 92205073-1-28, email: hello@upgo.hu), hereinafter: Controller. The Hungarian version of this policy prevails.

1. What data do we process?

Data you provide in the quote form and the chat assistant: name, email address, and if you provide them: phone number, business name, current website, the selected package and the content of your message. To prevent abuse, your IP address is also recorded when sending.

2. Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is to get in touch and prepare a quote. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract at your request), and for communication and abuse prevention the legitimate interest under point (f).

2/A. Customer data

If you order a service, we process the contact person's name, email, phone number, the business's billing details and project correspondence to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoices and supporting documents must be kept for 8 years under Section 169 of Act C of 2000 on Accounting (point (c)). For the online booking system, the time of accepting the contract, the document version and the IP address are kept for 5 years after the contract ends to prove the contract (point (f), legitimate interest).

2/B. Contacting businesses

We may contact local businesses without a website with a business offer. For this we only use publicly available business contact details (business name, address, business phone and email, e.g. from map services or the business's own social media page), on the basis of legitimate interest (point (f)). We contact a business at most once, and if you tell us you do not want further contact, we delete your data immediately. You can object at any time at hello@upgo.hu.

3. How long do we keep it?

Quote requests and messages are kept for up to 1 year after the quote, or until you ask for deletion. If a contract is concluded, accounting documents are kept for 8 years as required by law.

4. Who has access?

Only the Controller. As a processor, the hosting provider Rackhost Zrt. (6722 Szeged, Tisza Lajos körút 41., Hungary) stores the database and the mailbox. We do not pass data to third parties and do not send newsletters. If you contact us via the WhatsApp button, the messaging is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy terms; we only see the message you send us.

5. Cookies and local storage

The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie is created for the secure operation of the forms, deleted when you close the browser. Local storage only keeps your chosen appearance (light or dark theme), which is not personal data.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, object to processing, and exercise your right to data portability. Send your request to hello@upgo.hu; we reply within 30 days.

7. Remedies

You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., www.naih.hu, or go to the court of your place of residence.
